Bob watches in the early hours of Sunday morning (8 Jan 2006) as eight fire engines and 40 firemen fought a fire that raged through Duck Street Barns, Furneux Pelham. The beginnings of the fire were noticed as steam rising from the thatched roof after guests had left a dinner party. July Ramsey praised the fire services who arrived well within 15 minutes and saved surrounding buildings.
